Teaching is my 2nd career in life. I have a degree in Marketing from Michigan State University and after a career in sales as a power tool rep for Dewalt Power Tools, I returned to school to earn my education degree from Ferris State University. Since then I have earned my Master's in Curriculum & Instruction and am currently working towards my MBA through Davenport University. At WO I am the Department Chair for the business department, co-advisor for our Student Senate, the Junior Achievement Director, and the director of the school store The WOZone. I am also a proud mom of two great kids that I hope will share my passion for marketing & advertising.
I have been teaching business classes at WOHS since graduating from Western Michigan University. I went back to WMU to earn my Masters in Career and Technical Education and I am currently pursuing an MBA at Davenport University. I also serve as the IB Coordinator for WOHS. I enjoy teaching my students about business, especially topics related to management and human resources. My husband and I like to vacation in Bonita Springs and Naples, Florida as I have family in that area.
I graduated from Western Michigan University with my Bachelor's Degree in Business Education. My first teaching assignment was in I Honoka'a, Hawaii. After teaching two years in Hawaii, I moved to Michigan to teach for West Ottawa Public Schools. I have earned a Master's Degree in Career and Technology Education from Western Michigan University and continue taking graduate level classes from various universities. I am a proud mother of two children. I enjoy playing softball, scrapbooking, and spending time with family and friends.
